The app does not see all of our fingers. Why?

Every touchscreen has a limit on how many touches it can track at once. Most phones track 5 to 10, iPads and Android tablets more. Keep fingers a little apart, use fingertips rather than flat fingers, and wipe a wet or greasy screen. If someone adds a finger past the limit, the app tells you instead of silently ignoring it.

The countdown keeps restarting.

The countdown restarts whenever a finger is lifted, added or moves a lot. That is on purpose, so nobody can lift at the last second. Ask everyone to hold still, and remove a thick case edge or a loose screen protector that can cause phantom touches.

How do I pick more than one person, or get a turn order?

On the main screen, choose Order for a full 1st, 2nd, 3rd order, or stay in Pick and use the plus and minus buttons next to "1 winner" to pick two or three people at once.

How do I choose which packs are used?

Open Packs from the main screen. Switch Family, Teens and Friends on or off; at least one stays on. Family is on by default and is written for all ages.

Is the Friends pack explicit?

No. The Friends pack is for older teens and adults and is cheeky, never explicit. There is no adult, drinking or sexual content anywhere in the app.

How do I write my own dares and questions?

Open Packs, then My dares, and tap Add. Your truths, dares and "most likely to" questions stay on your device. Choose Off, Mix in (yours plus the packs) or Only mine.

How do I turn off sound and vibration?

Use the sound and vibration buttons at the top of the main screen. Each one toggles independently and the app remembers your choice.

I bought a pack or the Party Pass on another phone. How do I get it back?

Sign in to the same App Store or Google Play account, then open the app’s settings and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your store account, not to the device.

Does the app need an account or an internet connection?

No account, no sign-up, and no connection: everything works offline. The only time the app talks to the internet is when you buy or restore a purchase through Apple or Google.

How do I delete my data?

The app stores only your settings and the dares you wrote, on your device. Delete them inside My dares, or delete the app to remove everything. See the privacy policy for details.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad, and Android phones and tablets. The Android edition is on Google Play now; the iPhone and iPad edition is coming soon to the App Store.
